In-hospital
K-ECC provides emergency & critical care coverage on a per diem basis. Whether its help with inpatient care in the ICU, post-operative management of critical cases, or assisting the emergency service, you can count on us.
Telemedicine Consulting
K-ECC is available by phone to help with management of challenging and complex cases. Whether its determining the appropriate fluid rate and type for a severely hypernatremic case, creating an appropriate plan for a complicated polytrauma case, or guidance with various procedures such as a chest tube placement – K-ECC is here for you!
Continuing Education
K-ECC offers CE and training for nurses and veterinarians of all levels. These services can be delivered in the form of lectures and labs, either on-site or virtually.
DR. NATALIE KOVAK, DVM, DACVECC
Dr. Kovak is a board certified small animal veterinary criticalist with extensive training and skills in both emergency medicine and the management of intensive care patients. Dr. Kovak is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Following graduation, she pursued a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Denver Colorado. She then completed a residency in Small Animal Emergency & Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 and became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.Dr. Kovak has experience in both private practice and academic settings. Her primary clinical interests include respiratory pathophysiology, septic shock, and management of polytraumas. Dr. Kovak’s goal as a veterinary specialist is to continue to learn and evolve in a field that is always growing in order to provide the best medical practice for all levels of patients. In her free time, she enjoys strength training and group fitness, spending time with her 3 dogs and cat, good food, and traveling.
